We launched the Reimagine Peterborough Toolkit, to help your organization and community think about what’s important to you in the Official Plan and make your own submission to City Hall.

December 2017

We worked to influence changes to governance and public engagement at City Hall, to make community processes more inviting, open and participatory. Read an overview and media coverage.

We presented a letter recognizing the small positive steps Council took, and offering 11 recommendations for more meaningful change.

We held a community open meeting on Official Plan themes and priorities, and hosted our first Market Hall social.

We provided comments and recommendations on development charges to the City as part of its Area Specific Development Charges background study and proposed bylaw.

April 2017

We were invited to join the City’s Official Plan advisory committee as part of a renewed Official Plan process at City Hall.

We reviewed the City’s submission on Ontario’s proposed Growth Plan, and submitted comments and recommendations to the Ontario Government.

We reviewed the City’s Draft Part 1 of the new Official Plan and submitted comments and recommendations to City Hall.

We engaged with citizens at more community events, and gathered more than 600 comments in total about what citizens want for Peterborough’s future.
